Helping Teachers, Helping Students
The Supply Zone for Teachers was created to meet the needs of the most economically vulnerable students in Brevard County. Fifty-two percent of these children live on the brink of poverty, and many come to school without basic supplies.
Our educators know the challenges low-income students face each day. Pencils and crayons are the last thing on parents’ minds when they are fighting to put food on the table. Teachers do what they can, spending upwards of $600 per year on their students. But they shouldn’t shoulder this burden alone.
The Supply Zone for Teachers is a resource center that provides free school supplies for those who need them most. This “store” is stocked entirely through donations and is located in the re-purposed media center at the former Clearlake Middle School, which was closed because of budget cuts.
The Supply Zone’s mission is to serve the educational and creative needs of children in Brevard Public Schools by providing free school supplies to teachers at high-poverty schools.
Without these supplies, students have difficulties performing to their full potential. But when teachers have free access to the tools they need, their students have a much better chance to learn, achieve, and succeed in school.

The Supply Zone is now a Junior Affiliate of the Kids in Need Foundation, a national nonprofit organization providing free school supplies to students and teachers.
