Shopping Information for Teachers
The Supply Zone is a resource center where teachers from eligible, high-poverty schools receive FREE supplies for their students and classrooms. On average, most teachers’ shopping trips are valued over $400.
In lieu of shopping at the physical store, online shopping is available; however, supplies are limited to pre-packaged kits of assorted school supplies based on grade level. Much more is available in person!
Eligibility
The Supply Zone for Teachers now serves all 86 Brevard Public Schools.
There are two (2) levels of eligibility:
- Title I Schools: All teachers classified as “instructional” may shop once per semester on designated shopping days.
- Non-Title I Schools: Schools may participate in the “Representative Shopper Program.” Two representatives, designated by the principal, may shop for the school, once per semester on designated shopping days.
In addition, special shopping events are held throughout the year for certain groups of teachers and staff (i.e. media specialists, Students in Transition leads, etc.). These events depend on available inventory.
Also, the Students in Transition leads at all Brevard Public Schools are eligible to access the Supply Zone services.
Furthermore, teachers at non-eligible schools have the opportunity to earn a shopping trip by volunteering at the Supply Zone.
Any teacher who volunteers three or more hours at the store is welcome to shop once during the semester.
If you would like to learn more about this option, please contact the Supply Zone at 321-633-3660, ext. 31301.
