Brevard Schools Foundation has awarded over 1,400 scholarships to graduating seniors valued at nearly $1.55 million.

In 2025 Brevard Schools Foundation offered 67 different scholarships and awarded 84 BPS seniors over $125,000 in scholarship funds. Scholarships ranged in value from $250.00 to $5,000.00 to be used at universities and colleges in Florida and throughout the country.

Designating a scholarship allows members of the community to invest in talent from our local area, support student career goals, and help our children succeed.

Scholarship Application Tips

Before starting your scholarship application, students are strongly encouraged to review the tips below. Preparing early and following these steps can help ensure your application is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

Helpful Tips for Student Success

  • Start early and do not wait until the deadline. Some application materials require time for guidance counselors or school staff to complete.

  • Read all application instructions carefully before beginning.

  • Use a computer rather than a mobile phone to complete your application.

  • Prepare essays and written responses in a word-processing document so you can check spelling and grammar before copying and pasting into the application.

  • If you use AI tools, use them only as a support. The application system is designed to review submissions for authenticity.

  • Make sure your community service hours are accurate and verifiable on your transcript.

  • If you plan to apply for need-based scholarships, be prepared to provide financial information such as household income and savings.

  • Apply for all scholarships you qualify for. Some scholarships go unawarded each year due to a lack of applicants.
