Who can receive school supplies at the Back-to-School Blast-Off?
Students must:
- Be enrolled in Brevard Public Schools.
- Participate in the Free or Reduced Lunch Program.
- Be present at the event.
Do I need to register in advance?
No. Registration is not required.
Do I need a ticket or reservation?
No. Families may simply attend the event during event hours.
Do students need to be present?
Yes. Students must be present to receive supplies.
Do I need to bring documentation?
No documentation is required.
Is there a limit to how many students can receive supplies?
Yes. The event serves the first 2,000 eligible students while supplies last.
Can homeschooled, private school, or charter school students participate?
At this time, the event is limited to eligible students enrolled in Brevard Public Schools.

Is there a cost to attend?
No. The event is free for eligible students.
- Those enrolled in Brevard Public Schools

When is the busiest time?
The event is typically busiest between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
Will I be waiting outside?
Yes. Families should expect to wait in line outdoors before entering the event.
Please prepare for Florida summer weather by:
- Wearing comfortable clothing
- Bringing sunscreen if desired
- Staying hydrated
- Being prepared for heat, sun, or rain
Bottled water will be available during the event.
What will students receive?
Available items may include:
- Backpacks
- School supplies
- Books
- Hygiene items
- Educational resources
- Giveaways from participating organizations
How many backpacks can my family receive?
One backpack and supply package per eligible student while supplies are available.
Will supplies match my child's grade level?
Supplies are provided based on available inventory and geared towards grade level but may vary.
Can I pick up supplies for a child who is not present?
No. Students must be present to receive supplies.
Will volunteers help carry supplies to my vehicle?
No. Families and students are responsible for carrying their own supplies, backpacks, and materials to their vehicle or transportation.
Families may wish to plan accordingly if attending with multiple students.
What is the Community Resource Fair?
Families can visit vendor tables hosted by community organizations, nonprofits, educational programs, and public service agencies.
What types of organizations will be there?
Participating organizations may provide:
- Educational resources
- Early childhood programs
- Health and wellness information
- Family support services
- Community programs
Do I have to visit the resource fair to receive school supplies?
No. Participation is optional.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking will be available at the Clearlake Education Center.
Is ADA parking available?
Yes. ADA parking is limited to existing designated accessible parking spaces available at the venue.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. The event location is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Please note that families may need to wait outdoors before entering the event, and indoor areas can become crowded during peak attendance times.
Will restrooms be available?
Yes. Restroom facilities will be available during the event.
Are strollers allowed?
Yes. Strollers are permitted. However, families should be aware that the event is often very crowded, especially during the first part of the event, and maneuvering a stroller may be difficult.
What happens if it rains?
The Back-to-School Blast-Off is an indoor event and will be held rain or shine.
Families waiting to enter may be outdoors, so attendees should prepare for changing weather conditions.

In the event of severe weather, event organizers will evaluate conditions and provide updates as needed.

How can I host a supply drive?
Businesses, churches, civic groups, schools, HOAs, and community organizations are encouraged to host supply drives. Visit the Supply Drive page for details.
Are school supplies needed only during the summer?
No. The Supply Zone for Teachers accepts donations of school supplies and hygiene items throughout the year to support students and teachers across Brevard County.
Can my business, church, school, civic club, or HOA host a supply drive?
Yes. Community organizations of all sizes are encouraged to host school supply drives. Supply drives can be held during the Back-to-School campaign or at any time throughout the year.
How can my organization support both the event and the Supply Zone?
Many organizations choose to sponsor the Back-to-School Blast-Off, host a supply drive, donate school supplies, or participate as a Community Resource Fair partner. Organizations are welcome to support students in multiple ways.
