Do you know a deserving, low-income student who could use some extra support to achieve their dream? If so, be sure to tell them about Brevard Schools Foundation Take Stock in Children (TSIC) program, a dropout prevention, college readiness and mentoring initiative which helps at-risk children graduate from high school and receive college scholarships.

This year the Take Stock in Children application process will be different.  Due to Covid-19, the application will be online for students to complete.  Students in 7th, 8th or 9th grade may apply between October 1, 2020 and November 30, 2020.

  1. The ideal candidate – We are seeking qualified students that meet the economic criteria (qualify for the Free &  Reduced Lunch program), with the desire, aptitude and capacity to matriculate to college, but simply need help getting there (navigating the process). Students must be willing to put in the hard work.
  2. We are a multi-year, mentoring program first and foremost. Students must desire to partner with a mentor and be willing to participate in a weekly school-based mentoring program.
  3. After successfully graduating high school and completing the TSIC program requirements, students will receive a 60 credit – Florida Prepaid tuition scholarship for college.
