Shipment of School Supplies Worth Over $160,000 Received By Supply Zone for Teachers
COCOA, FL – January 11, 2016 – Supply Zone for Teachers has received its first Kids In Need Foundation shipment since becoming a Junior Affiliate as of January 1, 2016. The Kids In Need Foundation, a national, non-profit organization dedicated to providing free school supplies to economically disadvantaged school children and under-funded teachers, sent Supply Zone for Teachers in Cocoa, FL 17 pallets with over 1,000 boxes of school supplies including backpacks, scissors, binders, activity workbooks, and other assorted materials.
“We are immensely thankful for the supplies the Kids In Need Foundation has provided our community. With these supplies, students have a much better chance to succeed in our schools,” said Elizabeth Schreiber, Manager of Supply Zone for Teachers, a service of Brevard Schools Foundation.
The Supply Zone for Teachers is a resource center that provides free school supplies to local teachers and students at high-poverty schools. This “store” is stocked entirely through donations. As an affiliate, the Supply Zone will continue receiving free product from the Kids In Need Foundation. The Supply Zone for Teachers is responsible for paying shipping costs. For this shipment, shipping costs were just over $2,000. The value of the merchandise received is well over $160,000.
