The Supply Zone for Teachers will host the 19th Annual Back-to-School Blast-Off on Saturday, July 31st from 9:00 am until noon or until supplies run out.  The event will be held on the campus of Clearlake Education Center, 1225 Clearlake Road, Cocoa.  The first 2,500 students in attendance will receive free backpacks, school supplies, books, and other necessities.

In order to participate, families are required to bring the students with them.  Only students who are physically present will receive supplies; adults will not be given supplies for students who do not attend.  Students must be enrolled in Brevard Public Schools to participate, and they must have been recipients of the Free or Reduced Lunch Program.  Students will be served on a first come, first served basis – no pre-registration is required.

This will be an outdoor, in-person event.  Staff and volunteers will take precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19, including using hand sanitizer and cleaning high-contact surfaces.

This event is made possible by The Highland Mint. Other sponsors include: SMTC Corporation, Parrish Healthcare, jCARES, The Viera Company, and Rockledge and Melbourne Regional Medical Centers.
