Sue Tyson Parker joined the Brevard Schools Foundation (BSF) staff in the role of Special Events and Grants Manager. Parker oversees the Foundation’s major fundraising events and grant portfolio.

With an extensive background in non-profits and as a long-time resident of Brevard, Parker brings invaluable experience and in-depth community knowledge to the Foundation. Her experience in philanthropy includes serving as the Executive Director of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charities where she managed four separate charitable endeavors. Her career path also includes 12 years working at Florida Today serving businesses in Brevard and Indian River counties as an advertising executive.

In 2018, Parker was nationally recognized as one of the Top Ten Business Woman in the United States by the American Business Women’s Association, earning the organization’s most prestigious award. Locally, she was honored by the Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce as a Powerful Woman of Excellence and selected by the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce as Volunteer of the Year.

“Sue’s connections in this community and her extensive special event experience have already proven to be an asset to the Brevard Schools Foundation,” said Tracy Steele, BSF Development Manager. “She hit the ground running with three back-to-back events that were all very successful. We are fortunate to have her as part of the BSF team.”
