Brevard Schools Foundation is proud to support graduating seniors from Brevard Public Schools through its Senior Scholarship Program for the Class of 2026. The scholarship application portal opens Friday, January 16, 2026, and closes at 11:59 PM EST on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Scholarships ranging from $250 to $5,000 are available and may be used for two-year programs, four-year colleges and universities, and trade or technical education programs. Using a centralized application portal, students can apply for multiple scholarships with one application, making the process more accessible and efficient.
Last year, 99 scholarships valued at more than $120,000 were awarded to 79 students, yet some scholarships went unawarded due to a lack of applicants. Seniors are strongly encouraged to apply and to begin preparing early.
How to Prepare for the Scholarship Application
To help students put their best foot forward, our Senior Scholarship Specialist recommends the following:
- Start early. Do not wait until the deadline. Many applications require uploads or information from guidance counselors or other school staff.
- Read all instructions carefully before beginning the application.
- Use a computer, not a phone. The application is not designed to be completed on a mobile device.
- Prepare essays and narratives in advance using a word-processing document so you can check spelling and grammar before copying and pasting into the application.
- Be authentic. If you use AI tools, use them only as a support, not as a replacement for your own ideas and words. The application system includes AI detection.
- Confirm community service hours are accurate and verifiable on your transcript before applying.
- Be ready to provide financial information if applying for need-based scholarships. Parents or guardians may need to assist with income and savings details.
- Apply for everything you qualify for. Scholarships sometimes go unawarded due to low application numbers.
Important Application Notes
- Students should apply using a personal email or their Brevard Public Schools student email to ensure proper communication.
- The application portal closes promptly at 11:59 PM EST on March 16, 2026. Late submissions cannot be accepted.
