Bright Ideas Classroom Grant Applications Open for 2026-27

Have an idea that could make learning more engaging, hands-on, or meaningful for students?

Brevard Schools Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 Bright Ideas Classroom Grants, giving Brevard Public Schools teachers an opportunity to secure funding for creative projects that support student learning.

Applications are open now through Monday, September 14, 2026.

Funding for Bright Ideas of Every Kind

Bright Ideas grants are designed to help teachers bring creative learning opportunities to life when regular school budgets may not cover the resources needed.

Teachers may apply for:

• $500 for a single classroom project
• $1,500 for a grade-level or schoolwide project

Projects may support a wide range of subjects and learning experiences. Whether your idea involves literacy, science, technology, engineering, math, the arts, health and wellness, career preparation, or another area of student learning, we encourage you to consider applying.

Career and Technical Education teachers are also encouraged to apply. Bright Ideas funding can help support projects that connect students with hands-on learning, career exploration, technical skills, and real-world experiences.

Who Should Apply?

Bright Ideas Classroom Grants are open to Brevard Public Schools teachers.

Whether you are new to the classroom or have years of experience, teach an elementary class or a specialized high school course, your idea may be a great fit for Bright Ideas.

Each teacher may submit one application, and principal approval is required before submission.

Teachers should review the full application information before beginning their application.

A Bright Ideas grant can help transform an idea into an experience students will remember.

Past grants have helped teachers introduce new technology, expand literacy experiences, support music and arts programs, create hands-on science and engineering projects, build career and life skills, and provide new ways for students to actively participate in learning.

The possibilities are broad. What matters most is having a thoughtful idea that helps students engage, explore, create, and learn.
