On August 29th, the Brevard Schools Foundation team proudly participated in the 2024 Partners In Education (PIE) Kickoff Fair at the Melbourne Auditorium. This annual event brings together over 100 PIE coordinators, school representatives, and community partners to strengthen ties and collaborate on initiatives that support Brevard Public Schools.
Our Special Events and Grants Coordinator, Amanda Thurn, and Director of Development, Nina Moser, were on hand to represent the Foundation, sharing our mission and engaging in fruitful conversations with educators and partners alike [photo to right]. The energy was palpable as everyone worked together to find new ways to enhance the educational experiences of students across the district.
Krista Petty, Mentor Coordinator for the Take Stock in Children program of Brevard County, also played a key role at the event [photo to left]. Krista connected with various community partners, promoting the Foundation’s signature program that provides scholarships, mentors, and hope to deserving students. Her efforts highlighted the importance of mentorship and how it transforms the lives of students, ensuring they stay on the path to success.
A special highlight of the day was Nina’s interaction with Andy Armadillo, the mascot for Texas Roadhouse, a longtime partner of many Brevard Public Schools [photo below]. This fun moment captured the spirit of collaboration and community that defines the PIE Kickoff Fair.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our partners who continue to support Brevard Schools Foundation and the Take Stock in Children program. We look forward to a successful year of partnership and progress as we work together to build brighter futures for our students.
