The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations recognized Dr. Mark Rendell for his outstanding leadership and continued support of the partnership between Brevard Public Schools and the Brevard Schools Foundation.
The Brevard Schools Foundation proudly congratulates Brevard Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Rendell on being named a recipient of the 2025 STAR Superintendent of the Year Award, presented by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations.
Dr. Mark Rendell, Superintendent of Brevard Public Schools, receives the 2025 STAR Superintendent of the Year Award from Amity Schuyler, President and CEO of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, during the joint conference of the Florida School Boards Association and the Florida Association of District School Superintendents.
Now in its 19th year, the STAR Superintendent of the Year Award recognizes exceptional school district leaders across Florida who actively champion the mission and impact of their local education foundations. Dr. Rendell was honored during the 80th Joint Annual Meeting of the Florida School Boards Association and the Florida Association of District School Superintendents.
Dr. Rendell was recognized for his steadfast commitment to strengthening the partnership between Brevard Public Schools and the Brevard Schools Foundation. Throughout the year, he actively participates in Foundation initiatives by volunteering at school supply distributions, attending teacher and student recognition events, and supporting programs that promote student well-being, innovation, and community engagement. His leadership has also helped foster increased philanthropic investment in programs that benefit students and educators throughout Brevard County.

The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations also recognized Dr. Rendell’s statewide leadership.
