SUMMARY:ABC Awards Week - Teacher Leadership Council Teacher of the Year Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Brevard Public School’s Teacher Leadership Council will hold its annual Teacher of the Year Summit to kick off the ABC Awards Week. This event\, sponsored by the Brevard Schools Foundation\, will occur on Tuesday\, January 24\, 2023\, from 8:30am – 2:00pm at the Rockledge Country Club\, 1591 S. Fiske Blvd\, Rockledge. Invitations were sent to each school’s 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year as well as the 2021-2022 Rookie and Emerging teacher winners. \nThe Teacher Leadership Council works to promote teacher advocacy\, leadership\, communication\, and service throughout our school district by sponsoring special events\, communicating with teachers\, collaborating with district leadership\, and supporting new teachers. During the Summit\, teachers will participate in a day of celebrating accomplishments by engaging with colleagues in meaningful dialogue and collaborative learning activities. \nTeachers should register for the Teacher of the Year Summit in ProGOE beginning on Monday\, December 12 using Course# – 14062; Section# – 414324 Registration will close on Friday\, January 20th. \nPlease direct questions regarding the Summit to Linda Buffum\, Office of Professional Learning and Development\, (321) 633-1000\, Ext 11262.

DESCRIPTION:The annual ABC (Applauding Brevard’s Champions) Awards Ceremony and Dinner\, presented by Champion Sponsor Community Credit Union and Super Star Sponsor Connection Public Sector Solutions\, and co-hosted by Brevard Schools Foundation and Brevard Public Schools\, will be held on Wednesday\, January 25\, 2023 at the Radisson at the Port\, Cape Canaveral. \nDuring the celebration\, Brevard Public Schools will announce their annual award winners from various categories including: Administrators of the Year\, Volunteers of the Year\, Employee of the Year (EOY)\, and the Teacher of the Year (TOY). Two additional categories included Rookie Teacher of the Year (first year teachers) and Emerging Teacher of the Year (second year teachers). \nThe evening will begin with a reception at 5:00 p.m. with entertainment provided by musical groups from the Brevard Public Schools and live streamed interviews of honorees by Space Coast Daily. The Awards Dinner follows at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be livestreamed in coordination with Space Coast Daily. \nHonorees\, principals and other special guests were emailed invitation and RSVP information.
